Thanks Melbourne for a wonderful run of concerts. A broken finger stopped me playing bass on these shows so we brought in Steve Temple on bass and Peter Baylor on guitar to fill out The Beggars sound, they did a fine job. Singing with out my bass in my hand was a new experience for me and while I really enjoyed it I cant wait to get back on the bass again. Thanks again to everyone who helped out on the tour especially the audience who were so fine.
Should be a hoot this week,we are taking a bigger 5 piece band on the road and playing Melbourne Wednesday to Friday in Werrebee, Dandenong and Frankston. Show details are here http://showsnear.by/mvfsiyThanks to everyone who came to the shows in Colac an Gippsland last week. Photo is from the Colac show.
Thanks to all the admin and tech staff and to the 900 or so patrons attending The Beggars Sing The Seekers last week at the beautiful Empire Theater. The place is an absolute treasure and it was out great pleasure to perform there.

This week we played concerts in Townsville and Mackay with Quentin Eyers filling in for Stuart Day on guitar, mandolin and vocals. Well I was a little apprehensive would Quentin be able to learn all the harmonies, words and arrangements, would he be overwhelmed when he saw the size of the stage and the spotlight hit him? I didn’t need to worry Quentin did a fantastic job the crowds loved him and the only tricky thing was getting use to touring with someone who has almost the same first name as me. Thanks to the folks in Townsville and Mackay for a great little tour of North Queensland.
