Susie’s Saturday Night House Concert and a new youtube post
Just posted a new Beggars video at youtube, this one is an original called Carry My Load. For those who like their music live we are playing a house concert/fundraiser for variety club on Saturday night in glen Osmond
Experience the superb vocals of The Beggars. The very talented Renee Donaghey, Quinton Dunn and Stuart Day individually brilliant but when they sing together it’s amazing, “the best Australian vocal band since the Seekers” (Normie Rowe). This is a House Party in the leafy suburbs of Glen Osmond overlooking the City of Adelaide, which suits The Beggars style of Australian music. It will be an evening to remember.

This is a fundraiser for the V2 Classic Motorbike Run held by Variety, The Children’s Charity. BYOG however there will be a very limited bar if needed, and supper will be provided.

The Whale
This one is a great story song. I think its’s based on the Moby dick story. the Whale was originally by fielder and Dyer and I believe written and released in the 1960s. A real lost treasure of Australian Music.
Way Out West
We shot video for some songs as a first project in my in house studio. this one is Way Out West originally by The Dingos. I like the way Stu works the harmonica against the 12 string guitar in the solo.
New Tour Dates – West Australia
We are very excited to be taking our Australian Songbook Show to the West for a run of theatre shows in May. I will post the WA tour dates and some other tour dates that have come in asap but it looks like we will be in Bunbery on Wed the 23rd, Moora on Thurs 24, Merredin on Fri 25, and Thornlie in Perth on. Sat 26. it will be really great to get back over the the West, the last time I played shows there was back in the 80s with Swanee. Right now I heading up to Qld for Christmas so my best wishes to every one and I hope you have a happy and safe holiday break. Merry Christmas and Ill see you on the other side.
New iTunes release – Beggars Deluxe
We are very pleased to announce the release of our Beggars Deluxe album which is now at iTunes It’s a full 24 tracks and contains all 15 tracks from the Beggars CD plus the 6 tracks recorded for Silkroad Music and released as Exquisite Ballads in SE Asia plus Mary’s Boy Child, A Soalin’ and Silent Night which were all recorded this week in Sody Pop. You should be able to hear the hear the whole album with this little player.
